Drizzles likely in City for two more days

Last Updated 09 December 2015, 20:48 IST

A cloudy sky, chilly weather and light drizzle greeted Bengalureans on Wednesday morning. According to officials of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this will continue for the next two days.

A senior IMD official told Deccan Herald that the drizzle is because of a trough of low pressure over south west Bay of Bengal near the Tamil Nadu coast. Under the influence of this, the City and surrounding areas will experience light drizzle with a dip in temperature for the next two days.

Winter has already set in, but because of formation of various systems in the ocean and coastal regions, the number of days when there was clear sky for formation of fog was less.
However there has been a dip in temperatures because of rain and cloudy sky. Once the condition gets over, fog during early morning and evening hours coupled with chillness will prevail again, the officials said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in the City on Tuesday were 28.2 and 18.4 degree Celsius, respectively. The City experienced trace (0.1mm) rainfall during the morning hours on Wednesday.
