Eid prayers: Vehicle movement restricted near Lighthouse Hill

In connection with the Eid Milad-un-Nabi prayers on Thursday at the Idgah Masjid at Lighthouse Hill, the City Police Commissioner has imposed restrictions on the movement of vehicles on and around Lighthouse Hill.

A press release from the City Police Commissioner S Murugan said that the vehicles moving on Lighthouse Hill from Hampankatte towards Ambedkar Circle will have to travel via KSR Road or LHH Road and pass through Falnir Road from 4 pm till the prayers and processions are completed. The movement of vehicles has been banned from Dr Ambedkar Circle, City Centre to Lighthouse Hill and City Centre parking are to Lighthouse hill. The vehicles on Lighthouse Hill should be parked on 45-degree angle and later the vehicles have to be stopped from Hampankatta itself. The vehicles will be allowed to park temporarily on left hand side of the road from Central Library to Vijaya Bank, said the press release.
