Beau beaten up by girl's parents on New Year

A 22-year-old youth who tried to wish his girlfriend on News Year’s eve by flashing a torchlight towards her bedroom was beaten up by the girl’s parents and family members.

The girl’s father has been arrested.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 1.30 am on Friday, when Pradip, a resident of K Narayanpura, went near his girlfriend’s house to wish her for New Year.

Upon finding everyone asleep, he tried to wake up his girlfriend by flashing a torch light towards her bedroom. The girl’s parents, who were woken up by the light, went outside the house after they noticed him.

When he told them that he had come to wish the girl, they beat him up and chased him away. The incident occurred near K Narayanapura under Kothanur police limits.

Pradip, who was not in a condition to walk managed to reach his house and informed his parents about the incident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is being treated for injuries.

A complaint has been filed and the girl’s father has been arrested.

Pradip was employed at a gym in Jakkur.
