Garbage being burnt, despite HC ban

Garbage is being burnt every day under the flyover in Nagarabhavi, despite the High Court banning it.
The resultant smoke is causing problems for local residents. The miscreants should be caught and punished so that these acts are not repeated.

Thanks to sewage, Gubbalala gate stinks
Despite receiving numerous complaints, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has failed to do something to check the stench emanating from the Gubbalala gate on Kanakapura main road to Gubbalala school. Drains were cleared of sewage three months ago but the waste now lies on the road which is also full of potholes.
Thousands of people use this road every day to reach Kanakapura main road. Will the BBMP care to repair this road or be just happy collecting tax from residents and continue to ignore their problems? Besides, an open drain on the BWSSB service road has been stinking for at least six months now, posing serious health hazards to residents.

Halt for trains at KR Puram
Most of the trains running between Bengaluru and Chennai halt at the Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) railway station. But the most in-demand trains (No 12657 and 12658) don’t halt here. If these trains halt at KR Puram, many people will find it convenient to reach the ITPL, Kadugodi, Whitefield, etc. It will also help reduce traffic jams. I appeal to the authorities concerned to consider this.

Stray dog menace
There are many stray dogs around the BSNL office in Banashankari 2nd stage. These strays need to be neutered and vaccinated against rabies. Otherwise they could be hazardous to children and adults. I have requested the local corporator twice so far to attend to this matter, but nothing has been done. Why cannot the BBMP devise a plan to take care of these strays and implement it rigorously? Perhaps the authorities will wake up only when there is a case of dog bite.

Problems galore in this ward
I live near a junction of two roads - one, the 2nd Cross of NTI Layout and the other, a cross road of Basappa Layout. The area comes under the Radhakrishna ward. My house is surrounded on all four sides by vacant plots with parthenium plants. People from the surrounding areas dump their garbage in the plot to the left of my house. Before the BBMP elections, the garbage was pushed by a tractor to the wall in the plot. The garbage is cleared according to the convenience of the contractor or the pourakarmikas.
Some people have also put small zinc sheet sheds in a vacant site near my house and their children defecate in the open near the garbage dump. Added to the misery is the stray dog menace. Throughout the night they fight near my house disturbing our sleep. Will the authorities look into this and give us some respite?

Collect garbage
BBMP workers do not collect garbage from our locality, New Aravind Memorial School Road, Kodichikanahalli (Bilekahalli ward). Because of this, people dispose of garbage on the road sides. I have already lodged a complaint with the BBMP authorities (Complaint No 10528333). The case was assigned to BBMP engineer Prakash in Bilekahalli ward, but no action has been taken so far. I urge the officials to take this issue seriously.

Repair dug-up road
The road stretch from KR Circle to Hudson Circle is being constantly dug for sewage and pipe laying work. The uneven muddy road is causing a lot of accidents and two-wheeler riders are the direct victims of accidents. It is worse at night as there is no proper lighting in some places.
Without proper footpaths, even pedestrians are inconvenienced. It is very difficult to cross the road because of the constant flow of traffic. Employees of offices on this stretch do not have parking facilities. It is high time that the officials concerned take not of the issue and resolve it.
