Legislator Y S V Datta said Town Panchayat members, irrespective of their party affiliation, should ensure that eligible people get benefits of various development programmes.
He was speaking after distributing free LPG connections to 148 people belonging to SC/ST communities. The Town Panchayat has provided this facility to the beneficiaries under 24.10 Per Cent Scheme.
He said, “The government facilities should reach people on time. Only then, the citizens will keep faith in the Town Panchayat administration.” he added.
Datta said he is always ready to strive for the development of the town. The special grant of Rs 50 lakh released for the development of the town should be utilised for visionary programmes, he added.
Town Panchayat President Anitha Rajkumar presided over the programme. Vice President Koli Lokesh, members Bashir Sab, Rajesh, Renukaradhya, Jayamma and food inspector Harish were present.
