Akhila Havyaka Mahasabha’s former president M N Bhat Madguni has lodged a complaint with the Malleswaram police on Friday seeking protection from the devotees of Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swami.
An event to inaugurate a new building built by the Mahasabha at Malleswaram is scheduled fo February 13 and there are religious rituals on February 14 and 21.
A large number of people from the Havyaka community are attending the events.“The swami and his devotees are pressuring me not to attend the events. They are also threatening to boycott the events,” Madguni has stated in the complaint.
“I am one of the witnesses in the criminal case filed against the swami. There is a threat to my life and hence, protection should be given to me for the three days during the event,” he has stated in the complaint.DH News Service
