<p>Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara was forced to come back from Udayapura, at a distance of 25 km from Hassan, to pay his last respects to soldier T T Nagesh on Tuesday morning.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The martyred soldier’s body was kept near the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city for public to pay their last respect from 7 am.<br /><br />Parameshwara, who had left from Chikkamagaluru for Bengaluru, passed on the road in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, but did not stop to pay his respects to the departed soldier, which irked the public, who were waiting in a long queue to pay their respects.<br /><br />When a section of the media questioned SP Raman Gupta in this regard, he tried to convince them that it was not the Home Minister but somebody else. But, mediapersons and the public had already heard the message through the walkie-talkie of the SP that it was Parameshwara, who passed on the route.<br /><br />After a few seconds, the matter was telecast on television channels. The issue was immediately brought to the notice of Parameshwara. The Home Minister, who was at a distance of 25 km near Udayapura had to return to the Deputy Commissioner’s office and pay his respects to put an end to the issue.<br /><br />Speaking to media, he said that failure of the officials in providing him proper information resulted in the confusion and expressed his apologies. He also interacted with the family members and offered condolences before continuing his journey to Bengaluru. </p>
