Irish education fair draws City students

An education fair organised by ‘Education in Ireland’ in the City on Sunday witnessed the participation of over 250 students.

Participating institutions offered scholarships worth more than Rs six crore to Indian students at the fair. The students and their parents interacted with representatives of 12 Irish higher education institutes on available courses, job security and related topics.

The ‘Education in Ireland’ team showcased the Irish education system and the quality of programmes. Students enquired about disciplines such as computer science, electronic engineering, data analytics, digital marketing, international business, MBA and dentistry.

Barry O’Driscoll, Senior Market Advisor, Enterprise Ireland said the number of Indian students studying in Ireland has risen in recent years to  around 2,000. The fair will move to Chennai on February 27 and end at Kochi on February 28.
