Farmers throng Krishi Mela

The road was jam packed with a large number of farmers thronging to the Krishi mela organised by Sri Kshethra Dharmastahal Rural Development Project. Sammelana proved a mega crowd puller. Thousands of people were seen rushing towards the convention venue from early morning. Traffic jams were a common scene for three kilometres.

A large number of women arrived at the venue. Nearly 1.5 lakh people had visited the mela on Friday.

During the session on women, all the 10,000 seats were seen filled. In fact, the organisers had to arrange for more chairs. Some were seen sitting on the floor in front of the stage. 

Farmers were seen thronging at the stalls selling farm equipment and were collecting details on the equipment. Some were also seen collecting details on seeds.
