'Follow organic farming for maximum yield'

Hassan Akashavani organic farming expert Dr Vijaya Angadi speaking as a resource person said that farmers should change their life style and strive to achieve maximum harvest with minimum use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Farmers should utilise Jeevamritha, the bio fertiliser, to protect the environment, she added.

Call to women

Speaking on the occasion, Latha Jayaprakash called upon women to engage in dairy farming during their leisure to earn money as well as to protect the environment.
Information on the importance of cow dung, cow urine and the dairy farming were imparted to farmers by experts. The programme highlighted the importance of environment and its preservation.

Farmers’ conclusion

Participants at the programme came to a conclusion that the use of chemical fertiliser should be reduced gradually and stopped later to bring back the natural fertility of land.
Agriculture experts Jaleel Ahmed, Aravind, Sundar,  Jayaram, environment activist Mahesh and others were present on the occasion.
