Failed in love, youth hangs self

 A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself at his house at Weavers’ Colony in Hulimavu police limits on Saturday.

 The deceased was identified as Arun Kumar (in pic). He had completed BCom and was in search of a job.

He was dejected over his failed love affair, and hence decided to commit suicide, said the police.

Arun Kumar was in love with a girl of the same locality for the past six years. The girl’s relatives had roped in rowdies to assault him, and had even approached the Mico Layout police some time ago.

The police had obtained an undertaking from him that he would stay away from the girl and would not create any nuisance, said the police.

Arun Kumar was upset after the girl distanced him following the developments. He recorded two videos where he advised the girl not to be afraid of what others say.

Girl’s relative blamed

He also named the girl’s relative as responsible for his death. He posted the videos in his Facebook page and hanged himself around 3 pm, said the police.

The incident came to light after the victim’s parents returned home. The victim’s parents lodged a complaint accusing the girl and her parents as responsible for their son’s death. The police said they would study and register appropriate case.
