'Most B-schools producing unemployable passouts'

Most of the over 5,000 B-schools, except the IIMs and some others, in the country were producing ‘sub-par’ and ‘unemployable’' passouts.

A study by industry body Assocham said that barring a handful of top business schools like the IIMs and a few others, most of the 5,500 B-schools in the country were producing sub-par graduates, who were largely un-employable resulting in these pass-outs earning less than Rs 10,000 a month, if at all they found placements.

“'Only 7% of the passouts are actually employable in India excepting the graduates from IIMs”, the study by the Assocham Education Committee (AEC) said.
