<p>A Delhi BJP team met Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and submitted a memorandum seeking action over the Congress-era water tanker scam which city Minister Kapil Mishra raised in a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay met Jung and sought speedy action over the alleged Rs 400 crore scam unearthed by the AAP minister.<br /><br />He also pointed to the content of Mishra’s letter to Kejriwal in which he expressed fears of losing his berth in the Cabinet and hinted at a possibility of destabilisation of the AAP government if action was taken against the culprits of the scam.<br /><br />Upadhyay said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claims to be working on a agenda of zero tolerance for corruption but he has ignored Mishra’s letter on the scam.<br /><br />Mishra, the then law minister, wrote the letter on August last year citing findings of a inquiry committee report establishing that a Rs 400 crores water tanker scam took place in Delhi Jal Board dur-ing the tenure of Congress government led by Sheila Dikshit.<br /><br />“No action has been ordered by the Chief Minister in the tanker scam even after almost nine months,” said Upadhyay.<br /><br />The BJP memorandum said the AAP government seems to have struck a deal with Dikshit or is afraid of proceeding against her.<br /><br />“The people of Delhi have the right to know who is posing threat to Kejriwal cabinet in case it acts against corrupt deeds of the Congress government,” said Upadhyay.<br /></p>
