This girl made her parents proud

 Daughter of a polio-affected lift operator, Siddalingadevaru, and DTP operator, Shashikala, S Yashaswini, made her parents proud by securing 621 marks. Yashaswini completed her SSLC from Marimallappa High School, in Mysuru. Shashikala said, she never thought her child would be one of the toppers.

Yashaswini wished to become an IAS officer but, after the death of D K Ravi, she changed her idea and is now hoping to do medicine. “After D K Ravi’s death, she learnt that administration service has certain constrains and thus is planning for medicine,” said Shashikala.

“I and my husband really find it hard to provide good education for our kids. But, I wish them a bright future so that they can serve the society. We will provide them good education at any cost,” said Shashikala. Yashaswini said, despite the hardship, her parents provided her good education. “I will surely fulfil their dreams by becoming a doctor to serve the needy people,” said Yashaswini.

Second topper

N Aishwarya of Sadvidya School has secured 623 out of 625 and has emerged second topper in the district. Aishwarya, daughter of PWD Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Nagaraj and Jyothi, wants to become a software engineer. Except in Kannada and Mathematics, she has secured out of out in all papers, Aishwarya said.

Similarly, Ancy D’Mello of Marimallappa High School has secured 621 marks. D’Mello said, she had done her best in the examination but, she has lost four marks. She wants to become an engineer.
