Lok Sabha member Shobha Karandlaje charged that the state government has failed in all aspects of administration.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, she said the government has also lost the faith it had secured among the people in Karnataka. The end of the Congress-led government in the state is not too far, she predicted.

Karandlaje said the government has hampered the implementation of development works and it has disappointed people in handling drought.

The state is reeling under  severe drought and its apathy in allotting funds for water supply has worsened the situation further. The contractors, who worked for the construction of water bodies, are not yet paid. The drought has affected the people and cattle alike, she claimed.

‘Credit of Bhagyas only’

The MP said the three-year administration the Congress government is absolute three zeros. It has only two programmes --- Annabhagya and Ksheerabhagya --- to take credit. Both the schemes have huge lapses due to enormous corruption. Another blunder Shadibhagya targets the minorities. The programmes have not reached the minorities though they were implemented from three years, she criticised.

‘Just announcements’

She said the state government has limited itself for just announcements and the achievement in terms of effective implementation is nil. The budgetary allocations are futile attempts paving way for the illegal transactions, she ridiculed.

She charged that the chief minister himself is involved in a scam. The mystery involved in the Arkavathy Layout scam is not yet solved, she alleged.

The MP charged that the law and order mechanism in the state has totally collapsed with the interference of State government. Officers are transferred frequently. The ministers are leading a lavish life. They do not tour the state and conduct review meetings, she claimed.

The MP challenged that the government should produce the utility certificates for the programmes funded by the Union government.

Karandlaje, who represents Udupi-Chikkamagaluru in Lok Sahba, demanded a separate sand mining policy for the coastal districts.

Modi lauded

Lauding the two-year administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government, Karandlaje said the prime minister is silently planning better days for India and is envisaging the schemes accordingly.

She added that the Indo-Bangla border, which stretched up to 3000 kms, is settled. The problem remained unsolved years together paving way for immense infiltration. The Jan Dhan programme aims at inclusiveness. ‘Make in India’ is aimed at self-sustainability in defence sector, she claimed.
