Minister of State for Agriculture Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday said the state is ready to provide any extent of land for setting up of a mega fertiliser plant proposed by the Union government in North Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters here, the minister said the Union government is misleading the public by stating that the state government has refused to provide land. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had written to Union Fertilisers and Chemicals Minister H N Ananth Kumar in this regard, he said.
The Centre is also taking credit for the neem-coating urea being provided to farmers, an initiative of the UPA government, he claimed.
