JOIN USA 13-year-old school drop out student committed suicide at his residence in Banashankari second stage on Wednesday noon.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Chandrashekar (in pic) who was residing along with his labourer parents.
Chandrashekar had dropped out from school in fifth standard around three years ago. His parents Venkatesh and Gangamma, kept asking him to continue his studies, and be like his elder sister who is persuing her graduation in a private college, but he was not interested.
Venkatesh used to pester Chandrshekhar to go to school but he never paid heed. Even on Wednesday morning, Venkatesh shouted at Chandrashekar and asked him to go back to school and that he would come in the evening with the admission fees. Both Venkatesh and his wife left to work, said the police.
Chandrashekar, who was alone at home, was upset after his parents forced him to go to school and hung himself from the ceiling.
The incident came to light when the parents came back home in the evening and found their son hanging. Along with the help of neighbours, they rushed Chandrashekar to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The Banashankari police were informed and the body was shifted for postmortem, added the police. A case has been registered in Banashankari police station.
