A cross-platform mobile app development company, Hashtaag, which was founded in November 2015 by Krishna Vemula (Kim) and Jayavardhan B N, aims to increase its manpower from the present 40 to over 100 employees by the end of this year.

Hashtaag, which has already set up offices in Chennai and Mumbai, plans to expand globally. It already has an office in San Francisco, California, which caters to serial entrepreneurs in the US.

It helps companies transform their mobile businesses through product strategy consultation, UI/UX design, cross-platform development and quality assurance, among others. “We are mobile app development partner of apps such as Doors, Shouut and Paperboy, among others. What we tell startups is ‘you concentrate on your business and we concentrate on your technology needs’,” said Kim, adding, their first client was from San Francisco.

Recently, the startup raised $1 million in angel funding. The secured funding will be used for talent acquisition, R&D, expansion in India and international markets. Hashtaag’s current run rate is $2.4 million. “We expect to grow 30% month-on-month and 25% month-on-month in the following two years,” he said.
