SSLC students can take question papers home

Last Updated 11 January 2017, 19:46 IST

From this year, SSLC students will be able to take the question paper back home with them.

Unlike previous years, the question paper and answer booklet will be provided to the students separately.   Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board Director Yashoda Bopanna said, “This is being done so that students can keep the question paper and use it for reference. It can also be used as a question bank by students appearing for exams in the following year.’’

Further, the board has directed that students should be in the examination hall by 9.30 am. Latecomers will not be allowed to write the exam. Earlier, the exam would begin at 9.30 am, but students were allowed to enter the hall even if they were half an hour late. “This decision has been taken in the interest of students. When someone walks in late, the invigilator will have to walk around in the class to distribute papers. This distracts other students,” she added.
