British Airways cabin crews strike for 2nd day

Last Updated 21 March 2010, 13:29 IST

The airline - locked in a bitter dispute with workers over pay and working conditions - says today it was able to add in several extra flights because many crew members have ignored the strike call.

BA says all long-haul aircraft from overseas airports were able to arrive in London as planned on Sunday morning. The airline says there has been no evidence of strikes at any overseas airports directed at its flights.

Union leaders, however, say scores of BA planes were grounded and that 10,000 members walked out yesterday.
