Man falls from KSRTC bus, dies

A 50-year-old man was killed after the bus from which he was getting down, moved suddenly near Khoday’s Circle in Gandhinagar on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh, a resident of Vyalikaval, and an electrician by profession.

The accident occurred around midnight when the KSRTC bus from Bidadi by which Suresh was travelling,  reached Khoday’s Circle. The driver had stopped the bus for a while as some passengers alighted at that spot. However, the bus moved even as Suresh was getting down. He lost balance, fell down and sustained injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, said the police.

Ningappa, the bus driver, has been arrested.
