Once it is submitted, it will be discussed with the Reserve Bank of India before implementation,” he said. The Union Minister hoped that this would go a long way in checking counterfeit notes and added that both the Government and the RBI would draw a time bound programme to achieve this.<br /><br />Mukherjee said the time had come for the setting of an indigenous Research and Development Institute that would carry out research activities and stay tuned to the innovations in the field of currency printing and its security aspects.</p>
