Fundamental duties: HC seeks info from govt

The High Court of Karnataka on Monday directed the state, Central governments and the state bar council to submit status report on how they have advertised and displayed the list of Fundamental Duties to educate the public.

Justice A N Venugopala Gowda asked the counsel representing the government to submit a report on how it has followed court orders passed previously on creating awareness about Fundamental Duties. Justice Gowda, in his order, had asked the government to advertise Fundamental Duties along with the advertisements on its achievements published in newspapers.

Transfer of teachers

The high court has disposed of a PIL challenging the transfer of teachers in the middle of academic year. R Parameshwara had challenged the circular issued by pre-university board in August 2016.
