JOIN USAIADMK general secretary Sasikala Natarajan and her relative Elavarasi have been given four pairs of white sarees and blouses, while N V Sudhakaran has been given a pair of white shirts, shorts and caps.
An official at the Parappana Agrahara central prisons told DH that all the three have been given a brass plate, cup and a plastic mug besides white bedsheet. They can go for a walk in the prison between 5.30 am and 7 am and between 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm.
They can read newspapers and watch TV in the library. No special provisions have been made for Sasikala, said the prisons officials. She will be given breakfast (250 gm), 350 gm of lunch and dinner comprising rice, sambar and chapathi or ragi mudde in addition to 200 ml butter milk once a day. Non-vegetarian food will be provided once a week.
