Sorab Congressmen quit party

Office-bearers of the Sorab taluk unit of the Congress have resigned en masse in support of their leader Kumar Bangarappa’s decision to quit the party.

Speaking to mediapersons at the party office on Thursday, district Congress general secretary Tabali Bangarappa said Kumar Bangarappa had decided to join BJP after quitting the Congress. A majority of the taluk leaders and workers have expressed support for Kumar’s decision. He said the Congress had sidelined Kumar since 2004 without giving him any position.
