JOIN USA 35-year-old man working as a cook at a house in a gated community in Koramangala, southeast Bengaluru, has been arrested for showing pornography to a 12-year-old girl on his mobile phone.
Bharath Kumar reportedly called the girl into his quarters located in the basement of a residential block when she came with her friends to the play area around 5.30 pm on Sunday.
He told her he wanted to show her something. When she came in, he reportedly showed her pornography on his phone. The girl was distraught and ran to her parents and narrated what had happened. The parents immediately went to the Koramangala police station and filed a complaint.
Police arrested Kumar after booking him under section 354A of the IPC and section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
“We have seized his phone, but the pornographic videos seem to have been deleted. We will send the phone for forensic examination to retrieve the material, if any,” a senior police officer said.
