The state government has urged the Central government not to implement Kasturirangan report, said Government Chief Whip in Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza.

Addressing reporters in Mangaluru on Wednesday, Ivan said that if the recommendations of the report are implemented, many people in the state will get into trouble.

Even though the state government had submitted its objection in writing earlier, the Central government has not taken the same into consideration.

Why are MPs Nalin Kumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje not speaking about the report now, he wanted to know.

He meanwhile urged the members of parliament from the state to raise their voices against Kasturirangan report.

The MPs should take a delegation to the prime minister and convince him about the possible hardships after the implementation of the report, he said.
