LS passes bill for BC panel

The Lok Sabha on Monday passed a bill that provides Constitutional backing to a national commission for protecting the rights and upliftment of Backward Classes (BC).

The Lower House passed a bill for repealing the existing National Commission for Backward Classes to create a new more empowered National Commission for Backward Classes which will have chairperson, vice chairperson and three other members.
