Swathi Thirunal Day at Ganabharathi

Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a day-long Swathi Thirunal Day, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the composer on April 23.

Leading musicians are rendering the compositions of Swathi Thirunal on the day. The programme starts at 10 am, with H Channappa, Assistant Director, Department of Kannada and Culture, inaugurating the function.

The details of the function are: 10.30 to 11.30 am, R Visweswaran - veene, H L Shivashan- karaswamy - mridanga, S Manjunath - ghatam; 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, Neela Ramgopal - vocal, Achutha Rao – violin, A Radhesh – mridangam; 12.30 to 1.30 pm, Ballary M Raghavendra - vocal, C N Tyagarajan - violin, H L Shivashankarswamy - mridangam; 2.30 to 3.30 pm, N R Prashanth - vocal, Achutha Rao - violin, Adamya - mridangam; 3.30 to 4.30 pm, M S Vidya - vocal, Veena Suresh - violin, Sai Shivu Laxmi Keshav - mridangam; 4.30 to 5.30 pm, Srikantham Nagendra Sastry – vocal, C N Tyagarajan - violin, G R Srinivas - mridangam; 6 to 7 pm, Chandan Kumar - flute, H K Narasimhamurthy - violin, R Adamya - mridanga; 7 to 8 pm, S Rajalakshmi - veene, A Radhesh - mridangam, Raghunandan – ghatam; 8 to 9 pm, Saralaya Sisters - vocal, H K Narasimha Murthy - violin, G R Srinivas - mridangam.
