The three-storeyed space is quite large and spacious but the wooden furniture and cheerful decor gives it a cosy feel and a mixed crowd, ranging from young working professionals to senior citizens, can be seen lounging here almost all evenings.

The food is just what one would expect from a place like this but ‘Bootlegger’ ensures that it exceeds your expectations in all ways — be it the taste or the quantity. Statutory warning — do not go there if you are remotely close to even half full!

Kick start your meal with the ‘Jalapeño cheese poppers’. They are spicy crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth cheese inside; in short, heavenly! Matching up to this are the delicious ‘Stuffed mushrooms’ which tantalise your tastebuds with a mix of flavours and textures. The ‘Chilli paneer’ won’t fail to delight you either nor would its non-veg counterpart ‘Chilli chicken’; both are tempting combinations of crispy and spicy.

The ‘Chilli cheese toast’ is another delectable option. Non-vegetarians can pick up some classics like ‘Sesame chicken’ and ‘Butter garlic prawns’. While the former is a flavourful dish with a fresh, herb-like tang in it, the latter is a juicy fare with the prawns well marinated in the butter and garlic.

All these form part of the appetizers. If you want to start off on a light note, opt for one of their salads. A good pick would be the ‘Watermelon feta salad’ which is as much a feast for the eyes as for the mouth.

Round off the meal with desserts. Try the ‘Bacardi spiked truffle cake’ but only if you have ample space in your stomach. There is a strong yet pleasurable taste of the drink in the rich chocolatey cake. Otherwise play safe and stick to ‘Brownies and ice cream’.
