Parameshwara: police working on Kadabagere Srinivas, Nagaraj cases'

Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said the city police have taken necessary measures to catch the suspects who tried to murder Dasanapura APMC chief Kadabagere Srinivas.

“The police have done their best to identify suspects who opened fire at Srinivas. However, their efforts haven’t paid off yet. Some cases take time to be solved,” Parameshwara said after laying the foundation stone for the construction of new buildings to house Devarjeevanahalli and Krishnarajapuram traffic police stations.

“V Nagaraj (history-sheeter) is still at large and the police are searching for him. The police have not taken the Nagaraj and Srinivas cases lightly,” he said.

Bengaluru city needs more police stations to ensure women’s safety. Thousands of complaints are lodged by women in the city every year. The city police have taken various measures for women’s safety, including the launch of the Suraksha App which is receiving tremendous response, Parameshwara said.

He called upon the police to work hard and prevent crimes against women. The government will implement new schemes in the coming days to reduce crimes. The government will spend Rs 3 crore for the construction of buildings, he said.
