As many as 528 tribals, who were evicted from forest land at Diddalli in the district, have finally agreed to shift to the locations identified by the district administration, thus ending their five-month-long agitation.
The district administration has planned to relocate the displaced to three locations in Virajpet and Somwarpet taluks.
The Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation will construct houses for the displaced tribals.
To begin with, temporary sheds will be erected at the locations identified for relocation.
