Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday exhorted youth to utilise their summer vacation to acquire new skills and experiences.

Giving a pep talk to the youth during his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’, Modi also encouraged them to pack their bags and venture out and see new places instead of staying indoors during the holidays.

“Would you like to use this time of vacation gainfully? I offer three suggestions, it will be good if you follow all three, but then try to do at least one.

“See that you gain a new experience. Try to take the opportunity of acquiring a new skill. Try to experience something that you have neither heard of before, seen nor thought of and yet there is a curiosity in your mind. You must try new places, new experiences and new skills,” he said.

The prime minister also told them about easy ways to make quick money, saying they can earn Rs 200 per day just by getting 20 people to download the Bhim app on their mobile phones and start digital transactions. “If a new member performs financial business thrice, you stand to earn Rs 10 for that. This Rs 10 will be credited to your account from the government. If you involve 20 people in a day, by evening, you would have earned Rs 200. The traders can earn, so can students,” he said.
