<p>Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) chief Vaiko, a sympathiser of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), was detained at Malaysia airport with authorities there denied entry into their nation.<br /><br />Vaiko was on a trip to Malaysia to participate in the marriage of Penang deputy chief minister Ramasamy, which was scheduled on June 10.<br /><br />A statement released by MDMK here on Friday said that Vaiko, who obtained the visa, was denied entry into Malaysia today morning when he landed at the Kuala Lumpur International airport.<br /><br />The party also said that Vaiko was questioned by the airport officials about his alleged links with LTTE. "His (Vaiko) passport was also seized", the MDMK said. <br /> </p>
