<p> Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) will be held from August 31 to September 3. Submissions have been called for innovative, compelling, visually and thematically original short films. <br /><br />Submissions for Kannada films are free. The festival was originally founded by film artistes Prakash Belawadi and Anand Varadaraj of Suchitra Film Society (SFS). <br /><br />“The highlight of the 2017 festival is “the script lab”, an innovative script writing workshop with the best minds in the industry. <br /><br />“The panel discussions planned are with leading thinkers and industry practitioners, enabling amateur makers to interact with the industry’s finest to emulate and expand,” said Varadaraj, artistic director, BISFF. <br /><br />The previous edition of the festival saw 3,000 submissions from around 85 countries under five different competition sections. <br /><br />Complete eligibility information and official rules and regulations for the 2017 festival can be found at the festival website. <br /><br />June 25 (Sunday) is the last day for submission of films. <br /><br /></p>
