Poovamma to lead Karnataka challenge

Experienced M R Poovamma will lead Karnataka’s charge at the 57th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championship to be held in Guntur from July 15-18.

The Indian international will compete in the 400M and the 4x400M relay. The State will have their hopes pinned on Joyline Lobo (triple jump), Sahana Kumari (high jump) and KC Chandana (high jump) in the field events.

In the men’s section, Vishwamber Kolekar will lead the State side.
