<p>In order to popularise the controversial Indira Canteens, the Siddaramaiah government has now proposed a unique plan: A competition called "Selfie with Indira Canteen" with a prize of Rs 1 lakh. <br /><br />The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has organised this contest to draw people to the canteens. <br /><br />To participate, citizens should download the Indira Canteen mobile application, where one can get information about the canteen, menu and addresses of nearby canteens and more. <br /><br />"In the app, there will be an option called "Selfie with Indira Canteen" where one can take a selfie in front of the canteen and upload it with the caption through the app. The lucky one can win Rs 1 lakh," said BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad.<br /><br />BBMP authorities will judge the caption and announce the name of the winner.<br /><br />The app will be released on August 13 by Bengaluru Development Minister K J George. <br /><br /></p>
