JOIN USO Panneerselvam (OPS), who was sworn in as deputy chief minister on Monday soon after the merger of two AIADMK warring factions, got additional portfolios including planning and legislative assembly on Tuesday.
Raj Bhavan statement here said Tamil Nadu Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao, on the recommendations of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, allocated the portfolios of Planning, Legislative Assembly, Elections and Passports, hitherto dealt with by Jayakumar, to Panneerselvam, in addition to the portfolios held by him.
The Governor also re-designated Jayakumar as Minister for Fisheries, Personnel and Administrative Reforms.
On Monday, Panneerselvam, was allocated important portfolio of Finance, which was held by him earlier.
He was also allocated key portfolios such as Housing, Rural Housing, Housing Development, Slum Clearance Board and Accommodation Control, Town Planning, Urban Development and Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.
