Actor Radhika Pandit made her debut in the Kannada film industry with ‘Moggina Manasu’ for which she won Karnataka State Film Award for ‘Best Actress’.

An alumni of Mount Carmel College, she has proved her acting prowess in films like ‘Love Guru’, ‘Drama’, ‘Krishnan Love Story’, ‘Hudugaru’, ‘Addhuri’, ‘Mr and Mrs Ramachari’, ‘Doddmane Hudga’ and ‘Santhu Straight Forward’.

Radhika tied the knot with actor Yash earlier this year.

Music

Bryan Adams

“I am a huge fan of Bryan Adams. I have listened to almost all his songs like ‘Best of me’, ‘Summer of 69’ and ‘On a day like today’. My father has a huge collection of ‘ghazals’ and I borrow from his collection too since my choice of music depends on my mood. Music instantly lifts up my spirit. Also, not many people know that I am fond of Goan music. I don’t sing but I always carry with me my favourite playlist.”

Actor

Julia Robert

“I admire Julia Robert and I think she is a fabulous actor. She is convincing in any role she plays. Be it in ‘Notting Hill’, ‘Pretty Woman’ or in ‘Runaway Bride’, Julia has portrayed every character in her own
inimitable style. She slips into any character with ease and has the ability to showcase the smallest of emotions in the most powerful way.”

Travel

Goa

“Goa is my all-time favourite holiday spot. I used to spend my summer vacations there and I continue to go there whenever I have time. I like any place that is close to the sea because I believe that the sea has emotion, mystery, romance and darkness as well. I also like my father’s native place which is along the Canara belt of Karnataka. I have also recently fallen in love with Chicago for its rich history and colourful culture.”

Author

Paulo Coelho

“I grew up reading a lot of the books. I have lost count of the number of times I have read ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. The book tells you that everything that happens in life happens for a reason. I also like ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne. Her book is thought-provoking and helps one realise their own potential. These books have helped me develop a positive outlook towards life.”

Food

‘Patholi’

“I love food and I belong to the breed of people who live to eat. My list of favourite dishes include ‘Dali Toi’, ‘Sasam’ and ‘Patholi’ which is made out of grated coconut and jaggery. I am an experimental eater and I enjoy trying out the local cuisine of any place that I am visiting.”

 Inspiration

Mangala and Krishnaprasad Pandit

“I draw inspiration from my parents Mangala and Krishnaprasad Pandit. They are my biggest support system and lifeline. They have always been there for me through thick and thin. My parents started with nothing but have built a beautiful world for us through sheer hard work. I also admire the love they have for each other even after all these years. They have taught me and my brother how to value relationships.”
