'Start yoga centres in rural areas'

He was speaking after inaugurating yoga demonstration at the town’s Chaitanya Yoga Training Centre, here on Sunday and said the only way out in the modern world’s stressful life is to learn yoga. Taluk panchayat former president H V Chikkagiri Reddy said the Chaitanya Yoga Training centre was doing excellent work in the district towards improving people’s health.

Well-known doctor Dr Ramachandra said instead of being treated after one gets a disease, it is better to prevent it. Hence it was very important to learn yoga to control or prevent diseases. Everyone in the society should learn yoga and thus protect their health, he added.

Chaitanya Yoga Training Centre president Krishnamurthy Guruji said according to Malladahalli Raghavendra swamiji’s teaching yoga lessons were being imparted to the public. The benefits of this could be utilised by everyone, he added.

Social worker C J Rayappa said yoga was propounded in ancien scriptures and everyone irrespective of caste and religion were taught. Progressive farmer Vapasandra’s C K Manjunath, Saiprajwal foundation president M Krishnappa and other spoke. Farmers’ leader Mylappanahalli Lakshminarayanappa welcomed, yoga teacher Kyatappa proposed a vote of thanks and advocate Ramachandra Reddy compered.
