While security guards kept most of the milling crowd firmly out of the store, there were a few eager matrons and PYTs who managed to gain access to the object of their affection taking photographs and even throwing their arms around him for good measure.

All in a days work for Vivek, who went on to talk about the new film which has just released in three languages- where he stars opposite not one but three young women namely Nandana Sen, Aruna Sheilds and Neeru Singh.

The plot as he explained was a typical Bollywood potboiler. “I play a sophisticated and highly successful jewel thief, who steals fabulous diamonds through a tiny hole in the wall. How? You need to watch the movie,” he says further elaborating, “I wake up one morning with a gunshot wound on my arm and no memory. I am then chased by security agencies and criminal gangs while three hot beauties who all claim to be my girlfriend, Maya, complicate the issue further.”

Vivek promises that the audience will be kept on the edge of their seats right through the action packed-romantic- melodrama cum futuristic sci-fi flick.
Ask him about Bollywood’s tendency to plagiarise plots and storylines and it instantly touches a raw nerve. “Of course not!” he retorts. “In fact Hollywood draws its inspiration from us! Danny Boyle copied our formula and made Slumdog Millionaire, millions of dollars and won a whole lot of  Oscars. We make good films that work and all those pseudo snobs who say otherwise need a reality check!”

Shooting intimate scenes and doing daring stunts was a cinch for the actor. “I helped my lovely ladies during the action scenes and they guided me through the intimate scenes which were a little embarrassing,” he reveals coyly. Apparently, there is a hot kissing scene between Vivek Oberoi and newbie Aruna Shields, which is said to have been shot very aesthetically and is a big draw in the film.

“While scores of films have been made based on memory loss, this one will be totally different. Watch it and if you find any part of it copied I will personally reimburse you,” he promises.
