<div align="justify">Taking a jibe at the national political parties for their alleged failure in providing good governance, anti-graft crusader and chief of Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya S R Hiremath has expressed his desire to contest the General Elections in 2019.<br /><br />Informing this to media persons in Dharwad on Thursday, Mr Hiremath stated that the ‘Mahamaitri’, comprising of Jan Sangram Parishat, Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya, and other like-minded organisations would be entering politics, with a sole intention of ensuring able administration and social justice for all, he said.<br /><br />“I too aspire to contest the general elections in 2019, and ground work for the same has already begun,” he expressed. It might be a bit difficult to organise all the like-minded organisations and field candidates for assembly elections slated to be held next year, but, I am determined to contest for the Lok Sabha seat’, he added.<br /><br />Mr Hiremath said, the election strategy would be knitted on lines with the marathon united struggle which was launched against illegal mining in State.<br /><br />Winning election<br />He stated that winning the election is not important here, but this is an effort to create awareness among the people on the need to float an alternate political avenue.<br /><br />He further said, the Swaraj India, Karnataka Shakti Sanghatane, AAP, CPI, CPM, and some others have decided to come together.<br /><br />The Jan Sangram Parishat would be holding a voters’ awareness programme across the State on November 1. Key issues like social justice, keeping alive democracy, and equality for all would be the highlights of the rally.<br /><br />The upcoming elections will set a perfect platform for the people to think wisely before casting their vote and decide whom to be elected to address their (people’s) burning issues. A party which has real concern towards society should come to power and not the ‘People in white’ who have been dodging the society since ages, Mr Hiremath added.<br /></div>
