Actor Shraddha Srinath is in a happy place with many projects in her kitty.

While she is close to winding up her Kannada film ‘Godhra’, where she is cast opposite Sathish Ninasam, she also has two untitled projects in Telugu.

In an interview with Tini Sara Anien, Shraddha talks about her projects.

What‘s new at your end?

I‘m just finishing the projects in hand. There’s no time to waste. I had a lot of fun shooting for ‘Godhra’ with Satish Ninasam. It was a great learning experience. One of the Telugu projects is an urban rom-com which is by Ravikanth Perepu and the other one is a drama, opposite veteran Saikumar’s son Aadi.

Are you happy?

I am content. But I also know that there’s a lot more to go. I keep wondering about what will work and what won’t. Questions like ‘Am I at the top of my game?’ keep bothering me like any other artiste. I try to tell myself that there is no point in being stressed.

Tell us about ‘Godhra’.

It is a movie connected to society and politics. I play the role of Nitya, someone who is from the privileged strata of the society. My character campaigns against the ills of the
society and is always running around for the emancipation of downtrodden.

How close are you to your role?

I am close to Nitya though I am not into politics. I sometimes think I am an armchair critic (laughs). But I do want to do much more than that. I am passionate about social issues.

How do you relax between sets?

I have very little time to relax. When I’m not shooting, I have other personal chores to finish.

Would you call yourself choosy?

Yes, I am. I don’t want to take too many risks. I would rather do two good movies a year rather than have a series of movie releases and not have quality movies to point at.
