K C Venugopal to tour state to review Congress campaign

AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal has decided to tour the state from October 15 to review the party’s door-to-door campaign — Mane Manege Congress.

To begin with, he will tour Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Haveri and Dharwad districts for three days from October 15 and hold meetings with local party workers. He is scheduled to visit almost all taluks in these districts.

Venugopal’s move comes in the wake of lacklustre response from the party legislators and KPCC office-bearers in forming booth-level committees and conducting door-to-door campaigns.
