The mushrooming of petty shops have been causing lot of inconvenience to the public. In a week, tea stalls, petty shops selling panipuri, fruits, biriyani have come up, which make the people to wonder whether TMC has given its permission for petty shops.

Owing to the petty shops, the solid wastes in the taluk are on rise. As a result, there is all possibility of recurring of contagious disease in the taluk, fear the public. Petty shops have come up above the drainages at Maravanji and Basaveshwara Circle.

Petty shops are causing hindrance to the parking of vehicles on road side.  In spite of all these problems, elected representatives are mum over the issue. Neither the TMC nor the police are making any efforts to clear the petty shops, feel the members of the public.
