Cong wants elections to BBMP standing committees be postponed

The elections to the posts of the BBMP standing committee chairmen, scheduled on October 27, have been postponed for a week.

At a meeting at the office of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) here on Thursday, the senior leaders requested the Regional Commissioner, Jayanthi, to postpone the elections.

Ministers Ramalinga Reddy and Roshan Baig, legislators N A Haris, P R Ramesh, Munirathna, Byrathi Suresh, S T Somashekar, R V Devaraj and Mayor R Sampath Raj attended the meeting.
