I don't want HDK's support, says CM

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday, said that he needs the support of neither JD(S) nor the party's state president H D Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters here Siddaramaiah said, "Kumaraswamy need not speak in my favor. In recent days, it looks like Kumaraswamy has developed a positive attitude towards
me. But I do not need his support. I have the people's support."

Siddaramaiah brushed aside rumours that P G R Sindhia would contest on a JD(S) ticket from the Varuna Assembly segment in the upcoming polls. "Sindhia would contest either from Kanakapura or Ramnagara constituency. Why will he come to Varuna?" the CM asked.

'Yogeshwar a businessman'

Declining to comment on MLA C P Yogeshwar, who joined the BJP recently, Siddaramaiah said, "Yogeshwar is a businessman and he changes the political parties for his own benefit. Yogeshwar has changed several political parties. He had knocked on the doors of the Congress party and we had invited him. Now, he has joined the BJP," the CM said.
