
Hundred and thirty-two members were unanimously elected to the 12 standing committees of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Friday.
Mayor R Sampath Raj will declare chairpersons for each committee on November 14.
The most sought-after tax and finance committee received the nominations from 11 members including M Anand and M Mahadevu of JD(S). Town planning and development received 13 nominations, but Shilpa Abhilash and G Balakrishnan from the Congress took back their nominations.
"The standing committees' tenure will be from November 10, 2017, to November 9, 2018," said M Jayanthi, regional commissioner and presiding officer of the election.
