Hubballi, dhns: JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy has asked BJP leaders not to disrupt the winter session in Belagavi seeking the resignation of Bengaluru Development Minister K J George.

"The winter session is only for 10 days, of which Monday's session will be lost in expressing condolences to the departed MLAs. In the remaining nine days, there should be a fruitful discussion. You can seek George's resignation even after the session," he said.

The government had also promised to make Karnataka power surplus by 2014. However, at present, Karnataka is generating only 4,500 MW of power as against the demand of 10,000 MW and the coal stock at various power plants will also not last more than two days, he said.
