<p class="title">Two persons, including a woman, died on the spot in an accident near Kumsi, Shivamogga taluk, on the Sagar-Shivamogga stretch of the National Highway 206 on Saturday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the police, the victims are M Lokesh (35,) who was serving as a section officer in the energy department secretariat in Bengaluru, and Netravathi (34), employed at the Vikasa Soudha in Bengaluru. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The accident took place around 2.30 pm. Lokesh, who was driving the car, lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a tree by the road while trying to avoid hitting a cow. It is said they were on their way to Sigandhur in Sagar taluk from Bengaluru to spend the weekend.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police said the woman's husband had lodged a complaint at the Vijayanagar station in Bengaluru, saying his wife had been missing since November 22.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Kumsi police have registered a case.</p>
